WWC Programs for Retired First Responders – No Cost

Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC) is a national mental health service provider utilizing clinical best practices and evidence-based care to create an environment of compassion, resiliency and hope for Canada’s Veterans, First Responders and their families.

WWC has programs for retired and serving first responders couples and for spouses of first responders, as well as courses only for retired and serving first responders. There is no cost.

Use the link to each program on the Wounded Warriors website to apply for the program that interests you.

Here is feedback (with their permission) from a serving VPD couple who attended the Couples Resiliency Program with Equine Assisted Learning:

We found the WWC as a whole to be very well organized and professional. The administrative aspects were clear, complete, and easy to follow. The program itself was very well laid out. It was intensive, but not overwhelming.

The two therapists, Jim Marland and Shauna Pupp, were excellent. They obviously have a lot of experience and their personal interest in helping veterans and first responders was very apparent. They tailored their advice and guidance to each person and couple. The information was delivered clearly, with humour, and empathy.

We both would have no issue in recommending this program to others.
